Stacey Brewer, IAAP Foundation Board of Directors Chair

Stacey is an Executive Coordinator at the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology where he provides executive and leadership support to Neil Lamb, PhD, Vice President for Educational Outreach. Prior to joining the HudsonAlpha team in 2013, he spent nine years in the financial services industry at Redstone Federal Credit Union. As the Community Involvement Coordinator during four of those years, Stacey facilitated Redstone’s annual giving of more than $600,000 to 150+ local non-profit organizations.

As an outspoken Millennial and a male admin in a predominantly female field, Stacey has gained national recognition with his efforts to renew the emphasis on the impact of administrative professionals in the workplace. In 2012, this led to him being featured in an article for U.S. News and World Report on “The Evolution of the Secretary.”

Stacey completed his formal education from the University of North Alabama with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and holds the designation of a Certified Administrative Professional with an Organizational Management and Meeting & Event Planning specialty. As an active member of the IAAP, he has held multiple leadership positions within the organization, currently serving on the Board of Directors of the IAAP Foundation as Chair. Stacey is also a 2015 graduate of the inaugural class of the IAAP Leadership Academy.
